One of the foster dogs I did photos of last week- Zoomie- just got a home. Yay Zoomie! Zoomie was a hoarding rescue in Oakland and brought to Portland by Family Dogs (www.FamilyDogsNewLife.org). Here are more photos of Zoomie: http://www.davidchildsphotography.com/FamilyDogs-Zoomie
Know anyone looking for a new family member? I did photos of Cora who is in Family Dogs foster program and ready for a much better life than they had before. Click through to Family Dogs (www.FamilyDogsNewLife.org) to see my photos and read Cora’s story.
Here’s the latest Spot Magazine Cover of foster dog Kevyn (who now has a forever home!) with his foster dad Brian. Photo by me! Inside read the great article by Nikki on the important role fostering plays in animal rescue.
My next Pet Photography class happens the next 2 Mondays (Feb 21 and 28) from 6:00pm-8:30 at the Oregon Humane Society. I still have room for a few more, so please let anyone who’d like to learn more about taking great photos of their pets know. The class is aimed at begining photographers so no special background needed. There’s more info in the link above, and you can also sign up there. Drop me a note if you’ve got questions!
If you miss this class and would like to attend a future class, drop me an email. We schedule this partly based on demand- so emails help us schedule.
My latest Fences For Fido show is online. Chance spent his whole life, over a decade, on the end of chain. Watch how in one short day a great group of volunteers changes his life. Here’s the show: http://www.davidchildsphotography.com/FencesChance/ChanceShow.html
Meet Bo, winner of the 2010 Spot Magazine Cover model search. I photographed Bo at his home and we all had a great time. The best photos often come out of sessions where we are all having a lot of fun and that was certainly the case with Bo. Thanks Bo!
Daisy and Bullet now have new houses and a fence to play in thanks to Fences For Fido. They were so happy to have a big group come and visit and they even tried to help build the fence. See my slide show here: http://www.davidchildsphotography.com/FencesDaisyBullet/DaisyBulletShow2.html
